Members of Accessability411.com are Canadians who’ve had our independent abilities deteriorate over time. We live with degenerative illness every day. We have come to accept and understand uncertainty and change. Some days are filled with struggle and coping with others ideas of who they think we are.
For example; if we can’t communicate clearly with words, we must not possess full mental capacity and so people speak slowly and simply in an effort to help us understand. If we present ourselves as being Blind through the use of a white cane or guide dog, we must be deaf and people talk at heightened volumes for our benefit. Other days radiate ease and comfort.
The resources on this site are ones which have benefited us. We have firsthand experience with these programs and will help you get connected. Collectively, the advisers to Accessability411.com are Volunteers, Board Members, Employees, Moms, Dads, Friends, Brothers, Sisters, Daughters and Sons.
Our ages cover 20-90. We are professionals, stay at home caregivers, Workshop Leaders, mentors, educators, Paralympic athletes and Business Owners.
Let us share our experiences and ameliorate the role of Disability in your life.
